Stallions

Hillcroft Farm is located in Pennsylvania's historic Oley Valley. The farm was founded by my mother, Barbara Laudenslayer. Two years ago I took over general management.

Our goal is to breed great Morgans with the athleticism to excel in all areas from the show ring to an informal trail ride and the personality to make the journey fun. I firmly believe that the Morgan horse makes an excellent partner for any rider no matter what their goals.

Our breeding program focuses mainly on the government and Lippitt lines. Our first stallion was the grulla, Stormwashed. He has moved on to a new home but his daughters remain an integral part of our herd. Our 2009 and 2010 foals are by my Homeward Middlebury son, Exeter's Odyssey. Waiting in the wings is Baymount's Lorenzo, a Marvelous Intrigue son, who has enormous potential. We also have an excellent herd of mares at the heart of our program.

Please enjoy our site. We happily welcome visitors to our farm, and whether you're looking for a horse to add to your own breeding program or a riding or driving partner, we would be thrilled to help you find your Morgan. -Eliza Cilluffo

HILLCROFT FARM NEWS

On April 30, May 1 & 2, 2010 we attended The Mason Dixon Classic horse show. I took HCTF The Highwayman and showed him in Morgan Sport Horse in Hand and Dressage Intro Level Tests A and B. I am enormously proud to announce that in the Morgan Sport Horse in Hand he placed 2nd in a class of 7. His score was 77% and the comments were great. This was the first show for him competing and he was incredible. The ridden tests went well also his scores were 53.5% and 57%, they are well within the range I was expecting from a green horse at his first show.

All of 2010 foals have arrived safe and sound and I think that they exemplify what our breeding program is all about. They are all large, athletic, attractive foals with great personalities. Pictured above is HCTF Eclipse (Exeter's Odyssy x Starlit Acres Ignition), a bay filly. Check out our foals page for more.

Last I am pleased to announce the arrival of Tk Halfmoon. She is a 100% foundation bred mare that we purchased from Vintage Morgans this winter. Thanks to Nora Boman Knight for allowing us to purchase this special mare and also for breeding her to her stallion Sumrsnow Majestic for a 2011 foal. Halfmoon arrives sometime around June 4, 2010 so check back for pictures.
